Small Dogs Need Their Own Seat
Letting a small dog ride shotgun on the center console sounds cute right up until a sudden stop. An unrestrained pet in a moving car is a distraction, a projectile risk, and a stress factor for the dog. A proper dog car seat fixes all three at once.
Our dog car seat collection includes elevated booster seats for small dogs who want to see out the window, padded travel carriers that double as rest beds, and harness tether systems that keep your pet safely secured to the seat. Every model is designed for dogs up to roughly twenty five to thirty five pounds, depending on the specific seat.
For mobility around the neighborhood and not just on the road, our dog strollers work for senior and recovering pups who cannot walk the full route anymore.

Why Restraint Matters
The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has reported for years that unrestrained pets are a leading cause of driver distraction, second only to cell phones in some surveys.
- Distraction means accidents.
- And the physics during a crash are brutal.
- Our seats will not replace a purpose built crash test harness for larger dogs.
For heavier dogs, pair the seat with a crash rated harness clipped to a seat belt anchor.

Why Elevation Helps Carsick Dogs
A lot of small dogs get carsick because they cannot see the horizon from the floor of the back seat. Their inner ear senses movement but their eyes see a wall of upholstery, and that mismatch triggers nausea.
- Raising the dog up so they can see out the window usually cuts motion sickness within a trip or two.
- It is the same reason kids get less carsick in the front seat than the back.
- Some dogs do better with the canopy or sides pulled up high.
This reduces visual stimulation, blocks some of the wind from the air conditioning, and creates a den feeling that helps anxious pups relax.
At home, anxious dogs often settle better with an enclosed crate bed that offers the same den-like feeling as the seat.

How To Install A Dog Car Seat
Loop the seat strap over the headrest. Clip the lower strap into the seatbelt buckle.
- Pull everything tight.
- Clip the short tether on the seat to your dog's harness, not their collar.
- The entire install takes under five minutes once you have done it once.
The back seat is the safest spot for any pet, just like for a human passenger.
To get in and out of the car without jumping, pair the seat with a foldable pet ramp.
