The Litter Box Does Not Have To Be Ugly

Here is the truth nobody puts on the packaging. Most litter boxes look like a plastic crime scene in the corner of an otherwise nice home. Hidden litter furniture fixes that. A cabinet on the outside, a litter box on the inside, and guests who never realize where the cat actually goes.

Our collection includes side cabinets, credenzas, hidden washrooms with drawers, and multi cat units big enough for two cats without crowding. Every piece is designed to look like a normal piece of furniture in your living room, hallway, or bathroom.

Complete the room with a matching cat tree so the scratching and the bathroom setup both blend into your decor.

Why Cats Mostly Love Enclosures

A lot of people worry that putting a litter box inside furniture will make their cat refuse it. The research actually leans the other way for most cats.

  • A 2017 study in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery noted that most cats show no preference between covered and uncovered litter boxes as long as the box itself stays clean.
  • What matters way more than the roof is the size, the litter type, and the scoop schedule.
  • That said, about forty percent of cats will avoid a tightly hooded box.

The cabinet handles smell and tracking, the open box inside handles the cat's claustrophobia.

Tracking And Smell Control

An open litter box scatters granules across a surprising amount of floor. Tracked litter shows up in hallways, on couches, and somehow in the bed.

  • Our enclosures drop that to almost zero because the cat has to walk out through a small doorway, which knocks loose litter off their paws before they hit the rest of the house.
  • Most models include slots for activated carbon filter pads in the rear wall.
  • These do not mask smell with perfume, they absorb it.

Skip the scooping and no product in the world will save you, because that is just how litter works.

Giving your cat a separate retreat away from the litter area helps too β€” see our enclosed cat houses.

Sizing For Your Cat And Your Space

Measure your current litter box before ordering. Most of our enclosures fit jumbo boxes up to around twenty by sixteen inches.

  • High sided boxes or sifting boxes may need the next size up.
  • If you have a big cat like a Maine Coon, go one size bigger than you think you need, since cats should be able to fully turn around and dig without bumping walls.
  • For two cat households, a double wide cabinet works great, or two separate units.

Crowding everybody into a single box is one of the top causes of outside the box accidents.

For kitchens that share pet supplies, our elevated pet feeders hide kibble storage in matching wood cabinetry.
