The Science of Dog Sleep

Your Dog Sleeps 12-14 Hours a Day. The Surface Matters.

Most dog owners obsess over nutrition and rightly so. But sleep is the other half of the equation that almost nobody talks about. Your dog's body repairs itself during sleep. Muscles recover. The immune system resets. Cognitive function consolidates.

When a dog sleeps on a surface that does not support their joints, pressure builds on hips, elbows, and shoulders. Over months and years, this contributes to the joint degeneration that affects over 80% of dogs over age 8. The right bed is not a luxury. It is preventive medicine.

Dog Strollers

Not Just For Small Dogs. For Every Dog Who Deserves More.

The stigma around dog strollers is completely backwards. Strollers are for owners who understand that a senior dog with arthritis still deserves to experience the park. That a post-surgery dog still needs fresh air and mental stimulation.

Our strollers are engineered for real use: all-terrain wheels, ventilated mesh panels, one-hand fold mechanisms, and weight capacities up to 75 lbs. Built for real life, not just Instagram.

Common Questions

Answers For Dog Parents

Measure your dog from nose to tail while they are in their natural sleeping position. Add 8 to 12 inches to that measurement for the bed length. For dogs who sprawl, go larger. For dogs who curl tight, a snug nest-style bed is often preferred. Every product page includes a size guide specific to that bed style.
It is a fair question. Our orthopedic beds use high-density memory foam at minimum 3 lb per cubic foot density that maintains its support structure over time. We do not use shredded foam or polyester fill in beds marketed as orthopedic. Each product listing specifies the foam density and construction so you can verify the claim yourself.
Destructive chewing is usually driven by anxiety, boredom, or teething in puppies. Look for beds with ballistic nylon or ripstop covers which are significantly more resistant to claws and teeth than standard polyester. We also recommend pairing a durable bed with enrichment toys to redirect the chewing behavior.
Strollers are ideal for senior dogs with mobility issues, dogs recovering from surgery, small breeds in high-traffic urban environments, and multi-pet households. If your dog is young and healthy with no mobility limitations, a stroller is probably not necessary but it is never wrong to have the option for the future.
Yes. All Pillar Stone Paws products use non-toxic, pet-safe materials. For puppies specifically, we recommend beds with durable, chew-resistant covers and avoiding very plush materials until they are past the destructive chewing phase, typically 12 to 18 months.
